Memphis Wood Company first took root in 2021, when owner Tim Hecklinski started Memphis Woodcraft out of a single storage unit in Bartlett, Tennessee.

It didn't stay that way for long.

Within a year, one became three. Then five. Then seven. What started as a small side-hustle quickly grew into a go-to resource for woodworkers, makers, contractors, and DIYers throughout the Mid-South. That growth was built on a simple approach: great wood, great prices, a wide selection, and knowledgeable advice, no matter the size of the project or the budget.

By 2026, we had officially outgrown ourselves. Tim teamed up with co-owner John Maness, and Memphis Wood Company moved into its new home: an 8,500-square-foot warehouse in Arlington, Tennessee, filled with slabs, lumber, woodworking machinery, and room to keep growing.

Today, we’re proud to serve everyone from seasoned professionals to DIYers, and first-time woodworkers. Whether you're searching for the perfect slab, stocking up for your next build, or just need some advice on where to start, we’re here to help you find the right material for the job.

We may have a bigger warehouse these days, but our approach hasn’t changed. Good wood. Fair prices. Straightforward advice. And owners that genuinely appreciate every person who walks through the door.

Our warehouse is located at 6055 Airline Rd., Arlington, TN 38002. We’re currently open by appointment while we work toward establishing regular retail hours. We’re typically at the warehouse Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM–4:00 PM, and Sunday by appointment.
